The Ascii Alliance

Dragon Chasers is very proud to announce the Ascii Alliance, a multi-guild PvP organization founded for WvWvW combat.
Ascii is a collaboration of experienced PvP guilds whose leaders have rallied for large scale combat and siege warfare in GW2.
Organization, strategy and community are our objectives - this is no zergling rush. We in Ascii plan to win via planning, coordination and tactics.
Want a piece of something epic? Look no further.

Diablo 3

Nightmare, Hell and Inferno up next! Hopefully that’ll hold us over until Guild Wars.

Don’t Stress

Dragon Chasers had a productive 7 hours of play during today’s stress test. We took some keeps, tried out some new recruits (congrats to those who were promoted) and generally had a blast. We even had some fun with Mesmer portals!
It’ll be a long wait until the next BWE, but at least Diablo 3 launches tonight. See ya’ll soon.

Seriously?

Despite a rather… uneventful ending, the first GW2 beta weekend was a blast. All of us Dragon Chasers got to try the classes and content and begin honing down our builds.
Recruitment has also been successful lately. Tons of apps are coming in each day and several new members have been brought into our ranks. If you are interested in applying, do it here.
See you all at the next beta weekend!

First Taste of WvWvW

Within the first few hours serverside, a crew of Dragon Chasers had already besieged a majority of the common WvWvW island and claimed several keeps.
More pictures to come - it’s going to be a sweet weekend.

Beta Weekend: Steamspur Mts!

The first beta weekend is nearly upon us. We will be playing on the Steamspur Mountains server. All members should RSVP in the appropriate thread on our forums, while those looking to begin playing with us for the test can apply here. Wewt!

How to Chase the Dragon

I. General
1) Don’t start shit.
No drama. We are not your normal association of internet people. If you start drama, do not expect it to go unnoticed.
2) Rep our tag.
Much to every GM’s dismay, GW2 allows players to join multiple guilds. If you choose to join a secondary guild, be sure that it remainssecondary. All members must consistently represent and contribute to the Dragon Chasers tag.
3) Be on Mumble.
If you’re logged into the game, be on Mumble - even if you’re just idling in the AFK channel.
4) Focus.
Alts are fun, but this is a competitve guild. If your alts begin to impede your progress on your main, this is an issue.
5) OMG VAGINA.
Boys, treat the women in our guild like normal. No one is here to be sexually harassed by your lonely ass. Girls, don’t be attention whores.
6) We’re 18+.
If the profane, obscene or controversial offends you, you probably shouldn’t be here. We’re not in the business of censoring our members for the sake ofmoral decency.
II. WvWvW
1) You have a very important date.
If we start at 7 EST, we expect you to do everything possible to be there at7 EST. Nobody likes standing around, dick in hand while you do that “one last thing.”
2) STFU.
When it’s time to be quiet, be quiet. Use your common sense and only call out what needs to be heard.
3) Come prepared.
Do whatever you can to be prepared for the event at hand. Do your homework, prepare your PC for lag, bring your consumables, etc. We can tell which people are being proactive and which are just being lazy.
4) Follow orders.
Leaders will be designated in large-scale situations to call shots. Do as you’re told, stay smart and stay organized.
5) Pwn.
Win fights and have fun. It’s going to feel good seeing our name on top of that castle, but we’re going to have to work hard to get it there. -
Recruitment a Go-Go

Applicants are arriving, prior members are returning and the SBDC community is rearing its head as we get closer and closer to a release date.
If you’re interested in playing with us for Guild Wars 2, be sure to fill out an application here. We still have spots for the right people.
Also - yes. Those are dragons humping a car behind the banner.

It Was a Trap
We are sad to announce that Space Blasters will no longer be playing SWTOR. We had a good run, but this game simply does not offer enough to keep us engaged.
The next MMO we’ll be actively participating in is Guild Wars 2. If you’re interested in playing with what has quickly become one of the best PvP & PvE guilds in the MMO community - leave an application on our forums.

Server 1st: Karagga’s HM
Last night Space Blasters cleared Karagga’s Palace on hard mode, making us the first guild to do so on Hedarr Soongh.

We also finished up 8 man Eternity Vault on hard… 16 man and nightmare modes to come.

-
Karagga’s Palace 3/5
Yesterday we dipped into Karragga’s Palace and left it 3/5. Not bad… we should have the rest of the zone cleared shortly.

-
A Few Good Men…
We are currently seeking a few more level 50’s to fill out our roster. Talented Healers and DPS characters are welcome to apply in our recruitment forum. We are not accepting any more tanks.
With over 20 players at the level cap and and highly accomplished raid progression, this is a great opportunity for experienced players to be a part of something big.

Last night was a big one for Space Blasters - Eternity Vault cleared on normal mode, 4/5 on hard mode and Bonethrasher killed in Karagga’s Palace. Good work, men!
